Snow Teams on Vigilance

After Meteorology's statement, "Snowfall is expected to be effective for 4 days in Istanbul", Büyükçekmece Municipality Snow Team, which completed its preparations, was on the alert.

It is expected that snowfall  will be effective for 4 days in Istanbul in the weather forecast of the General Directorate of Meteorology. The snowfall, which will start on Friday afternoon, will continue until Monday.

All preparations are complete

Büyükçekmece Municipality Snow Fighting Teams, completing their preparations hours before the snowfall that Istanbul residents have been longing for months, will work in 24 neighborhoods of the district. The snow teams, which will serve on a 24-hour basis, will instantly meet the notices and requests from the citizens so that the snowfall, which is expected to be effective for 4 days, would not negatively affect living conditions.

We will be vigilant 24 hours

Anti-snow teams affiliated to the Directorate of Technical Works will be on alert for 24 hours with salting vehicles, scoops, graders, trucks, ambulances and hundreds of personnel. Snow Teams will serve on the main streets, entrance roads, streets and boulevards of the district, and will intervene immediately in cases such as the citizens in difficult situations.

In addition, food service and health services for street animals will continue without interruption. In emergencies, citizens will be able to request assistance by calling 444 0 340 of Büyükçekmece Municipality.
